The Yoghurt Weaver Tree – A Collaboration of 4 Sculptors

Put together  3 Recycle Artists and a Feltmaker Artist and a Yoghurt Weaver Tree is born. The frame for the tree was created by Recycle Artist, Jason Heppenstall who welded the armature together in components so the  life size tree could be easily transported and erected on site. Recycle Artists Donna Bramall and Lindsey Piper fashioned the  bark and branches from bicycle tyres with leaves made from recycled plastic bags.   The finishing touch was to to inhabit this unusual tree with fantastical birds made from felt by Alison Rose and  the rare and elusive Yoghurt Weaver Fird nesting atop the tree.
